Oct 17:  SFO to Portugal

Oct 18:  Welcome dinner

Oct 19:  Tour Lisbon Moorish Alfama Quarter, Jeronimo's Monastery (UNESCO)

Monunment to the Discoveries, Tower of Belem (UNESCO), Town of Sintra (UNESCO), National  Palace, Coastal Resorts, Cascais and Estoril on the Portuguese Riviera, Show of the Traditional Fado

Oct 20:  Travel to the Silver Coast, visit  Batalha Monastery (UNESCO), Nazare, Obidos, Lisbon

Oct 21: Fly to Saint Michael of the Azores, Walking tour of Ponta Delgada;s town center, highlighting the city gates of Portas da Cidade, Sebastian Church, Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake), pineapple plantation

Oct 22: Walk through Terra Nostra Botanical Park or relax in the Thermal Water Pool. Special Lunch: cozido das furnas (stewed in volcanic earth), visit tea plantation, visit ceramic studio

Oct 23: Explore Pontra Delgada or choose optional tour to swim with dolphins or take a whale and dolphin watching boat trip, or kayak and hike Sete Cidades. Dinner at Azorean cuisine restaurant (included)

Oct 24:  Visit the twin lakes of  Sete Cidades inside a volcanic crater, one lake is blue and the other is green. You can choose to explore the interpretation center or hike inside the crater viewing the Bay of Silence (included)  Journey to Ribeira Grande, known for historic buildings and 8 arch bridge.  Visit a family-owned liqueur shop. Visit Nordeste, the highest part of the island and the famous waterfalls of Ribeira Dos Caldeiroes.

Oct 25:  Fly to Madeira "Peal of the Atlantic" Special for its subtropical climate, majestic mountains, and volcanic caves. visit Botanical Gardens. Stop in Monte overlooking senic Funchal. Traditional dinner with folk dancers and music. Feast on espetada, cooked over an open fire.

Oct 26:  Visit Camara de Lobos -Sao Vicente - Porto Moniz - Funchal, free time for a swim in the natural volcanic pools

Oct 27: Funchal - Camacha -Funchal

View Pico do Arieiro mountain, visit an embroidery shop and meet local artisans. Sample world famous Madeira wine. Afternoon hike optional levada walk along the water that channels through the mountains.

Oct 28: Fly back to Lisbon, spend the day at your leisure. Farewell dinner

Oct 29: Fly home
